Consultant is anyone who gives advices or performes other services of professional nature in return for compensation. Consulting firms may be defined by other aspects of their business, including size, location and the type of client they serve. There are many reasons why business organizations use consultants: lack of available personnel, the need for an outside opinion, traing employees etc. The article deals with consulting and its role in marketing.
