Human asset training and development increases the productivity and skills of workers (Saif et al., 2019). Globally, governments spend billions of dollars to promote the workforce, to enhance their country’s economy and innovation. Working women are the pillars of society and play a vital role in its development. The female workforce is the key to innovation, growth, and prosperity in modern societies. Globally, economists focus on the practical and theoretical side of how working women perform an active role within the workforce and how they positively contribute to growth and Innovation (Luci, 2009). Women first started participating in the workforce during the late 19th and early 20th century. Worldwide, owing to higher per capita economic growth, the demand for female participation in the labour force has been increasing and motivating the working women to participate in development and innovation activities.

Globalization of higher education and, consequently, of business education, is becoming one of the major challenges for the future development of the academic environment, as it accelerates the international dimension of higher education, which is very important to improve the quality of education, research and other higher education services (Jibeen & Khan, 2015). The paper`s research is limited to business education, whereby the term Business School is used for all high level educational institutions that offer study from fields related to Business, Commerce e.g. Economics, Finance, Management (as defined in the Oxford Dictionary). Therefore, terminological limitations should also be noted.

Financial literacy (FL) represents a basic and inevitable skill that is important for human existence in the 21st century. In recent years, there are evident activities in a support of fi nancial education especially from the European Commission (EC) side. The EC issued “The Communication on Financial Education” report. This report explicitly states economic and social advantages of a higher level of FL as well as fundamental principles of financial education control according to the chosen procedures (European Commission, 2007).

Systematic training of employees is a constantly repeated cycle that reflects both the specific requirements of training and development strategies, as well as the objectives of general organizational strategy. The main source of the training and development process efficiency is its systematic feature in relation to employees and to owners and customers.

The present tendencies are expanding worldwide due to three main directions: the globalization which implies increased international competitiveness, technological changes (introduction of ICT led to the need for qualified employee, therefore knowledge has become a necessity), organizational behaviour, ICT, knowledge, innovation are considered priorities. Developed countries and the OECD recognized that some common themes are emerging, the need “for policy coherence in dealing with development for leadership from developing countries and for partnerships with shared risk as well as a focus on key sectors for social and economic development. The related theme is innovation.

The main motivation of our research was to analyze alternative ways of funding tertiary education. Primarily, we focused on the tuition fees payable by foreign students. The main research questions were: - Who (or what) influences the student in deciding whether to travel?
- What is expected from a student studying abroad? - What the student feels could be an obstacle to studying abroad? - What is the basic amount for monthly living expenses while studying abroad, which the student is willing to accept?
