Text consists of two key sections, which are focused on: (i) ageing of population and its impact on world of finance, and (ii) corporate governance issues. Within the frame of the text are also mentioned or discussed issues giving broader view on particular demographic topics like median age, and elderly dependency ratio (EDR). There are also touched on general trends in financial sector related with population ageing like securitisation or changes in investment behaviour of people that are discussed deeply. Important part of the text deals with theoretical roots of corporate governance in the world of economics including paying attention to Nobel Prize winners that work on institutional issues supporting field of proper corporate governance. Both of these streams i.e. ageing, and general principals of proper corporate governance provide solid base for discussion on principles defining proper corporate governance for pension funds. It will be analysed next time in article "To Necessity of Proper Corporate Governance in Pension Funds".
