Hypermarkets changed in the Czech Republic the customer behaviour. (At the beginning of the year already 120 hypermarkets were operating in the Czech Republic but in 1977 only two). The same situation is in the centre of the West Bohemian region in Pilsen (4 hypermarkets). But there are differences between customer preferences. Research on choosing the primary stores brought many interesting information for retailers and municipal. It provides some details among others for using cars for buying, customer focus on low prices, accessibility and rich supply of stores.
