A system approach to to the analysis of social and economic circumstances of the integration of the Czech Republic in the European Union is followed. Present state of the Czech economic is briefly outlined and competition chances are estimated. Then risks for the own and other countries are specified. At the end comparative advantages from the short and the long point of view are summarized.
