The article is divided into five main parts. At the beginning the authors speak about the EU requirement of free movement of labour for the Czech citizens and the probably seven-year period. In the first two parts are given the indicators and numbers comparing the low GDP level in the candidate countries and probability of immigration (working) waves after enlargement. For the solution could be used the experience from the previous enlargement in 1981 and 1986. Third part is dedicated to the problems of getting older of the population, which results as lowering the amount of economically active people. Fourth part shows the lack of qualified workers especially on the cases of the Netherlands and Germany. In the last fifth part the authors are trying to give the answer on the question from the topic of the work, saying that the final decision will be a compromise including transitional period with a flexible regime.
